Deer....

Why is it, that deer feel this need to stand in the middle of the road? On my way home tonight, I was driving along on my gravel road, and suddenly, in my head lights...there is this deer. Just standing there staring at me...I inched my truck slowly towards it, and when it seemed like it wasn't going to move...I honked my horn a couple of times. It quickly leaped off the road and over the fence on the other side. This isn't the first time it's happened either. There have been many nights, where there have been deer in my way. I guess it has to do with the fact, that I kinda live out in the country :). And twice today, a black cat crossed my path when I was driving....should I be worried? Oh well, I won't, because I'm not superstitious. :)
